Yup, you're right. It's gotta be plain and simple. Not everybody has had
the need to be precise about these things, and they can easily make a
dangerous misinterpretation. For us to be understood, we have to explain in
simple but comprehensive terms: no milk, no cheese, no yogurt - nothing
made with any milk products, such as whey, caseine, ...

I recently asked the chef at work if there was any cheese in the Italian
Chicken Soup. He thought about it and said no. I ate it and had to run and
get my antihistamines and my Epipen. I should have asked if there was any
cheese in the soup, also if there was any cheese in any of the
*ingredients* of the soup - turns out there was cheese-filled tortolini in
the soup(!)
