You may be new to the list but this has been addressed by quite a few of us.
Gambia is a secular state and we don't all have Islam in common. Theres an
Islamic forum set up by (I believe) Awa Sey and for those interested you can
easily subscribed and learn as much as you want about the religion as well as
get your questions answered.
I've said it over and over that the list was set up to discuss issues/concers
that all Gambians have in common and Islam doesn't fit this category . If this
list was meant for religious postings, its obvious that some of us non mulims
will not subscribe to it. I don't know whats so hard in understanding this.
If Christians start posting then what will Gambia-l become of? I just don't
appreciate anybody forcing something down my throat. We are all adults and can
decide what religion best suit our needs period. Everything has a place and
time for and so does religious postings.
