This is extremely sad news.  It is especially hard for families to expect so
much of their children when they go abroad and to instead get them returned
in body bags.

What seems to puzzle me the most is the reason for such a proliferation in
these type of tragedies.  Gambians have been coming to the US for a long time
and such things  were very rare during most of this period.  However, over
the past two years, the number of gambian males  lost to gun homicides has
been quite alarming.  Is there a reason for such a proliferation?

In america black males have always died in disproportionate amounts due to
gun violence.  For this reason, it is quite sad to see gambian males becoming
part of this statistic.  I extend my condolences to his family and everyone
that knew him.
