Sandra,
        I would watch the formulas -- it is my understanding that even the
so-called dairy-free formulas may have traces of milk protein.  I got
that from one of the no-milk websites (maybe even the gfcf site
(gluten-free, casein-free).  You might want to contact the company to be
sure.  You also can provide calcium with supplements, plus some rice
milks come calcium enriched.
