Howdy list!

I was just reading my copy of Cosmo this month and I was somewhat
shocked and a little appalled at an article by the fitness editor of
Cosmo on a diet she tried to loose 15 lbs. She read this book called
The Balance: Your Personal Prescription for Supermetabollism, Renewed
Vitality, Maximum Health and Instant Rejuvenation by Oz Garcia. He
actually met with her and based on her food journal he put her on a no
wheat diet. He says that Gluten makes it harder for some body types to
break down food. When I first read the article, I thought that it was
interesting that they are using a GF diet to lose weight, but then I
was a bit alarmed. If the GF diet becomes a big fad (which I don't
know if this article will have any influence on readers, although Cosmo
is read by a lot of young people so I imagine it could) will we, as a
group requiring gf food, loose our credibility? Am I making sense
here? Let me know what you think and I'll summarize.

Joanne
