I had my children before I knew I had celiac disease, but I would have them
anyway.
I have three children and none of them have celiac disease, but one had
diabetes at the age of 6.
Life is tough, and I don't consider celiac disease too difficult to live
with. If you want a heartache, have one of your children get diabetes and
have to deal with the diet, and the shots of insulin and the insulin
reactions.
Our disease is a difficult diet to be on, but one can manage if you eat very
little processed foods, and make and bake all of your own gluten free foods.
I have been a celiac 8 years and get along very well.
Even if I knew of my celiac disease before I had children, I would have them
anyway.
I am the only one in my family to have celiac disease and there are 5 of us
children.
However, I have two brothers with diabetes and my mother had diabetes.
