Dear List:
The original posting was to inquire about effective disinfectants for
appliances like bite guards. An e-mail from Warner-Lambert,
manufacturers of Efferdent, reported that they were unable to guarantee
that any of their products was gluten free.
One respondent has used Efferdent for years without ill effect.
Others suggested: hydrogen peroxide, Tom's of Maine Mouthwash, baking
soda, baking soda toothpaste and vigorous brushing.
One expressed dismay at the lack of concern of Warner-Lambert for the
celiac community.
Note: I had indicated to W-L that I was relaying the information to the
3,000 people on the celiac mailing list, and that I would do the same if
and when I received information that was more positive in relation to
our needs. I notice that most people who are selling something prefer
3,000 potential customers to 3,000 detractors of their products.
