This list is designed to share information and computer experiences of the
blind as a method of mutual assistance. Those with the real player may
now attend last Friday's meeting of the Visually Impaired Pittsburgh Area
Computer Enthusiasts by opening http://www.vipace.org/vip199908.ram in a
web browser or directly from the real player's control l open location
function.

Doug Hunsinger provided a demonstration of various streaming audio formats
and showed how netcasting is being used by and for the blind.
If you have experience with streaming audio, MBSFM.com and Mike Lauf's
Handi-Talk may be familiar, but this presentation might be of great
interest to friends or others in your computer user group.

If there is interest, we may provide a WinAmp style streaming mp3 version
of the recording.

Doug welcomes any questions or comments at [log in to unmask]

If other groups or individuals are interested in sharing audio
information over the net, VIPACE members are eager to provide helpful
guidance.
