Todd,

I'm very sorry to hear about your father.  I wish him a speedy recovery.

Although I've got plenty of weight to lose I no longer measure my diet
success by weight loss; instead, I focus on how it makes me feel.  This is
the main reason I've finally decided that a paleodiet is the one for me.
I've lost weight on Atkins and other low-carb variations, but the closer I
follow the Neanderthin plan, the better I *feel* and function day to day.

I can't help but think that your diet will help you meet the stress
challenge presented by your father's illness.
