Thanks to all those who responded to my message.

Below I paste in the solution that worked as a result of one of the E mails
I received about this issue.

Again, thanks to all for responding and hope you find the following useful,
as I have.

Thanks again.

DOREEN YALE.

Advice follows:

> 1) Make certain that you have the "Priority" column selected in your
> Outlook Express layout. You can check this by going to the
> "View" menu from the Outlook Express main screen and selecting the
> "Columns" item. You will be placed in a list box with the
> various column headings whereupon you can choose to have these columns
> displayed or hidden (Show/Hide). You may also want to move
> this column to be displayed at the beginning of the message list.
>
> 2) It seems that "Normal" priority messages have no explicit "Priority"
> graphic associated with them so these messages
> will still have no priority indication.
>
> 3) The version of JAWS may or may not have the graphic symbols for "High
> Importance" and "Low Importance" defined
> and even then may have all graphics silenced for Outlook Express on
your
> system. You will want to probably enable all graphics for a short time to
> verify your "Priority" column; if your JAWS is reading only graphics
> numbers
> you will need to distinguish between the high and low priority

> "Labeled Graphics" for more permanent configuration.
