Below is a copy of a world wide Web page that has some links to some
interesting and perhaps useful dos programs.  These might be great
resources to share with members of your local vicug.  the url is below,
which will work well for those with mail programs, such as Pine 4.0 and
above, that permit url's to be clicked on in e-mail.

                           Interesting DOS programs

   Here are several links to various DOS software and other DOS related
   websites. Many are freeware but some are shareware and commercial
   programs. I welcome any comments and/or suggestions you may have about
   this webpage or other DOS programs for me to know about.

          player
          DOSAMP v0.8 From Nullsoft, DOSAMP is another freeware MP3
          player.
          SJGPlay v1.29 Easy to use freeware Audio CD Player with Lyrics
          and playlist for each CD.
          CDPTSR v0.12 CDPTSR is a memory resident CD Player; uses only
          3.5K resident
          RealAudio Player for DOS Only source code so far
          Megamid v1.66 Graphical MIDI Player for DOS
          CDPlayer v2.25e Audio CD player which looks like the Win95 CD
          Player. Source code included.

   Graphics Programs/Screensavers
          PictureViewer 1.80 PictureViewer can view and convert many
          graphic formats. Freeware
          SEA v1.3 This shareware viewer/converter has an easy to use GUI
          GrafX 2.00 beta Multi-resolution bitmap paint program for DOS.
          LXPIC Small (size of exe :15K!) yet powerful viewer of JPG,
          GIF, PCX, BMP and others
          Teralogic Texture Maker v0.95 Create background graphic files
          for your web page or desktop.
          QuickView Multimedia player. Plays AVI, MOV (Quicktime), MP3
          and other graphic formats.
          Megamorf Displays rotating 3D objects composed from dots,
          smoothly morphing from one to another.
          Acidwarp Fractal generator which can be used as a screensaver.

   Utilities
          BLACKOUT Gives DOS a graphic startup screen like Win95. Can use
          your own GIF file
          Cute Mouse Driver v1.5 Mouse driver for both AT and PS/2 mice
          uses only 7K of memory
          Win95Boot V1.21 Changes the boot code in Win95 OSR2 so you can
          boot to DOS
          Freeware Programs for CD-R burners These programs are a set of
          CD-R applications for DOS.
          Partition Resizer v1.30 Resize your FAT16/FAT32 partitions
          safely. (Read docs carefully!)
          PC-CONFIG 8.68 Detailed system information/benchmark tool.

          Corel WordPerfect Suite for DOS Includes WordPerfect, Quattro
          Pro and Presentations for DOS.
          Account Pro accounting software for DOS Manage your accounts.
          Now freeware
          PEDIT v3.30 Excellent freeware DOS editor. Includes
          spell-checker, thesaurus and MUCH more.
          EDITV 4.0 Freeware DOS editor with the look and feel of
          Borland's IDE editor
          Infopal v5.5 Database program where you can design and generate
          reports
          VIEW v15.0 Allows you to view WordPerfect, Word 97 docs and
          other word processor formats
          CAMWORK DOS program that downloads images from Agfa, Olympus
          and Epson digital cameras.
          Access v4.52 Freeware graphical DOS menu program. Supports
          SVGA, built-in CD player; can use Windows icons
          Dirtel v3.26 Electronic address book manager whose contents can
          be exported to HTML
          InfoZIP Create ZIP files, extract files from ZIP files created
          with PKWARE's Pkzip/Pkunzip v2.04g.

          Net-tamer Another well-known DOS Internet suite.
          Mozilla for DOS Ongoing effort to port Netscape Communicator to
          DOS
          Home Page Generator v1.3 DOS HTML editor
          Orb v2.0 HTML preprocessor designed to simplify creation and
          maintenance of web pages
          NOS BOX DOS Intranet server ; provides SMTP, POP3, NNTP HTTP
          and FTP services.
          GPAGE Uses a text file to generate a local page of links (like
          this one!)
          Javascript Parser Simon Waite's Page which list projects like a
          Javascript parser
          GETNEWS and POSTNEWS Get and post messages to/from newsgroups.
          CQvert 95.7.1 Converts the output from a WWW Form to something
          more readable.
          MICQ DOS ICQ Clone
          HTMSTRIP v8.09 From Bruce Gutherie, converts HTM to text. Many
