Hi, you all!
This is a response from Books On Tape to my comments concerning their web
page. The page is a pain, but manageable. With my usual tact, I suggested
that they put their mouse in the drawer and try out its friendliness.
Books On Tape (oddly enough) rents audio books--mails them to customers
including return addressing and postage. The books are current,
unabridged, and really fun for people who don't want to wait three or four
years for the free versions from NLS and are comfortable with paying for
the privilege.

Dear Valued B-O-T Customer,
I wanted to start out by introducing myself. My name is Kevin Coon and I
am the new Webmaster here at Books On Tape, Inc. I wanted to let you know
that we are currently working on the next version of our website. It is
really exciting. I think you will be surprised on how much time and effort
we have put into making our homepage the fastest, easiest, and most
enjoyable site that you will ever use. Ok, that might be stretching it a
little. Anyway, a good site would not be complete without feedback from
its customers. And although you will be able to let us know what you like
and don't like once the new site is up on the internet, we wanted to find
out what you think it should look like before that happens. That's right,
we want to know what you think. Do you like sites that scroll or
hyperlink? What about pages that take forever to load? Or are graphics
what interest you most? I want to speak with you.
We will have two surveys available. One through e-mail and one by phone
appointment. Please respond saying which would be better for you. If you
would like to talk over phone please e-mail me your phone number and what
might be the best time to call (Monday thru Friday, of course). Thank you
very much for taking the time to read this. If your not interested, please
just disregard this e-mail (no response is necessary).
If you have any questions please send me an e-mail to
[log in to unmask] Or if it is easier for you to remember,
[log in to unmask] I am always available.
Sincerely,
Kevin C. Coon
(Webmaster)
