I had the good fortune of hearing Steve Gibson of Spin Rite and Trouble in
Paradise fame speak last night on the topic of Window's security? It was a
very revealing evening. He has just released a web site that "Probes" your
machine for weaknesses. It was shown just how easy it is for someone to get
into your system with out your knowledge. With the recent and on going
thread on home networking with Microsoft, I thought I'd pass the URL along
for anyone with a Windows Machine too see their level of threat. Needless to
say, having had my HD whirl at times for no apparent reason, I have just
installed Black Ice Defender firewall.
