You can use any CDR media you like with the drive; some of it will work
fine at 4X, some will only work at 2X or 1X. It depends on the brand(or
no brand) of the media. CDRW media on the other hand is pickier -- it
has to be marked to the drive as being 4X compatible, or the drive will
only write it at 2X.
