Yes, the alertness caused by caffein is a different thing,
as you described with the receptors. Annother kind of
"getting used to" as detixifying enzymes.

Nikotin would be then a better example then...
The first cigarette after a while
gives some sensations which disappear totally after smoking
more ciragettes more regularily.

Its just like the dose of many other toxins too
---- alcohol too .. its just detoxified quicker after
gettint used to.
And the body builds up some resistance against its effects.
Strange how some people behave just like normal after
1 promille alcohol in the blood, and on the other side
what effect a single glass of champagne can have on a
unexperienced.
