I agree with Richard on the allergy slant to things. I have
had allergies all my life and they got worse as I got older.
I was tested for pollen allergies as well as other stuff
several years ago. When I first started going Paleo, I
noticed that some pollens weren't bothering me as much as
usual. Corn was one of the pollens I've always reacted
to...it was also something I loved to eat. With lots of corn
fields nearby and my neighbors' gardens with corn, I could
almost tell the exact time the corn peaked with the pollen
production!! No corn has been consumed since making the
transition. I have had no trouble with the corn pollen! When
I realized that, I looked back at what pollen allergies I
had that were also food products (grains, etc.). I found
what I believe is a direct connection on this...at least for
me.

Just my 2¢!
