Uric acid is an antioxidant. If You eat foods that raise Your
UA level then You also get an antioxidant effect of it, and
meat is _said_ to raise this level, I am not shure it is true.
If the level gets too high, then there is a gout risk, and
perhaps also kidney stone risk.
