I remember listening one day to the Dr. Dean
Udell(sp?) show on the radio when this topic came up.
After about 15 minutes of him preaching about the need
for double-blind studies to prove the efficacy of
natural supplements, he attempted to reinforce his
point by reading an article about a woman who got
"deathly sick" after using some kind of herbal remedy.
"Hmmm," I wondered. "I wonder if the doctors came to
that conclusion after doing a double-blind study of
this patient...."
