I can only offer my own experience...
I had been having minor episodes of calcium oxalate kidney stones about
every other year since the late 80's. I have been lowcarbing (similar to
Atkins, so MUCH lower carb than a normal, non-weight loss, paleo diet)
since late '96. I had one attack pretty much "on schedule" during my
first year on LC, and none since. At his point, I'm a little overdue and
still feeling fine. So if my diet has changed the situation at all, it
would have to be for the better, and not for the worse.
