HG is hunter-gatherer.
In my opinion, Paleo is the most potent anti-inflammatory diet available-
especially if you take fish in preference to meat (non-farmed fish is
superior to farmed fish).
I had heel pain syndrome (painful inflamed heels every morning), for 2 1/2
years. I commenced paleo for weight loss and acne- within 2 weeks my feet
got better and only flare up if I have a lot of bread and pasta on the
weekends when I'm socialising. Ray Audette cured his rheumatoid arthritis
with it according to his excellent book Neanderthin.
The science of Paleo is very convincing- if you've got a tertiary science
background write me privately and I'll send you some stuff. The biggest
attraction is the simplicity- it's all so logical once you understand it.

Ben Balzer
"The ideal diet for any animal is that which it eats in the wild. Humans are
no exception."
"Ask a doctor or dietitian how to lose weight and you'll be told to eat
bread, corn, soy, cereals etc.. Ask a farmer how to fatten an animal and
you'll be told to feed it bread, corn, soy, cereals etc. There is a
discrepancy that needs explanation."

> I stumbled across this listserv while researching my own inflammatory
disease which has been misdiagnosed (I think) as PID, arthritis and
fibromyalgia for 25 years. Reading the posts for the past couple days has
raised a couple questions:
> * what is HG (besides hemoglobin)
> * can anyone refer me to more information on inflammatory
eicosanoids
> Thanks,
