Yes, the cholesterol test is a 12-hr. fasting test. I wouldn't rely on the
results of a test that did not involve the fast. Someone recently mentioned
a home test, but I don't know how reliable it is or if it follows fasting.
I don't think we know enough about you to suggest any other tests.
I'm going to have a hormonal blood test soon...testosterone, progesterone,
estrogen. I'm well into perimenopause and want to see where I am
hormonally. I've only had a grand total of three weak hot flashes so far
and wonder whether to credit the paleo diet. The diet has made a very
significant reduction in menstrual pain, so who knows?
