 Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese
 Soyco Rice Lowfat Cream Cheese
Bob's Red Mill Soy or Rice flours
I live in a fairly small town in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. I have a
devil of a time trying to find just Rice and Soy flours locally. One or two
mixes are available but I1m not too fond of them and it1s cheaper baking
from scratch. I hate driving down the hill to Sacramento unless my life
depends on it. I1d really like to have some cream cheese but am lactose
intollerant as well and my birthday is coming up and I1d like to have a nice
cream frosting that is GF and DF. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I1ve tried getting one of my health food stores to stock Authentic Foods
products but I guess they need to be better educated to CD in order to
promote the products. There1s alway a care package from my mom in Southern
California. Thanks for your help.

Overwhelmingly, Bob's Red Mill flours are NOT guaranteed GF because they are
not processed on dedicated lines and cross-contamination is a concern. Only
2 of the dozen or so that responded said they use Bob's all the time with no
problems.

On Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese - The responses were overwhelmingly
'YES" it is GF. A few people stated that all Tofutti products are GF.

On the Soyco Rice Lowfat Cream Cheese - no responses. I received info from
Galaxy Foods claiming that their Soyco, Soymage and most of their Veggie
products are GF and suitable for Celiacs but I have yet to find out if there
is a possibility of cross-contamination.

One woman said that Duncan Hines makes a GF/DF cream cheese frosting but I
have yet to check this out. I do understand that most Duncan Hines
frostings are GF.

Mail ordering and Net ordering from various GF manufacturers was suggested
but I am a bit paranoid about using my credit card on the net and as I live
paycheck to paycheck, coming up with enough money to buy in bulk or by mail
is not easy.

But armed with this info I now have a few more choices and some of these
products are right in my regular grocery store! With the 2 packages of GF
cake mix my mother sent me I can now have a safe (healthy?) birthday cake to
share with my son and co-workers. You didn't think I'd eat it all myself
did you?!?
