Dear Listmates:

"Celiac Sprue Day" shares the same month as "Breast Cancer Awareness
Month" and so I appeal to all of my fellow celiacs to recognize this as
a time to reach out in the interest of helping others ...

$$$ for research are urgently needed to keep the flame of hope alive for
a cure for breast cancer. Yes, $$$ are needed for celiac sprue research,
too -- but as it has been noted a few times in our recent TCCSSG
newsletters, thankfully WE know what we can do to stop the damage that
this disease does to our bodies: We must simply stay away from gluten
(easier said than done, I know).

Please take a few minutes now and send a few dollars to a breast cancer
research foundation.

I am donating $25.00 in honor of Celiac Sprue Day to the following
research institute, where 100% of the donations go toward breast cancer
research, specifically to clinical trials being conducted right now at
the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, which is one of the
largest (if not THE largest), nationally-renowned breast cancer centers
in the world:

Mammastatin Research Institute
5692 Plymouth Rd
Ann Arbor MI 48105

Donations are tax-deductible - This is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cancer
research institute. EIN#38-3261098

What better way to honor Celiac Sprue Day (October 28) than to recognize
the importance of finding a cure for a disease. After all, that is what
we hope others will join us in finding for ourselves! Let's do unto
others as we would have them do unto us. Join me on October 28 in giving
toward the cause of breast cancer research. And let's do it in the name
of Celiac Sprue Day!

Thanks,
Wendy Washington
