I have been struggling with trying to put forth a proper summary to this
list concerning the questions that I asked about what to do about my
son's rash.
I received alot of responses...all were read and appreciated.
Almost every person who responded recommended that I take my son to a
Dermatologist right away to have his rash tested to see if it is
Dermatitis Herpetiformis and advised that I should do so before I put
him on a gluten free diet. It would be the quickest and easiest way to
get a diagnosis.
Many advised that he would probably have to have a biopsy and I should
set one up right away.
Some advised that I try to put my son on a gluten free diet now and see
if he got any better before I take him to see a doctor.
A few people thought that it would be a good idea to wait and see what
the results of my biopsy is before I attempt to have my son tested.
A few people who responded also have ADHD children and believe that
there may be a link between Celiac Disease and ADHD. I have been
researching this connection and although I have not found anything
concrete to support this theory, I also believe that there may be a
connection.
I would have liked to give a more complete summary but am unable to do
so at this time due to sickness but if anyone wishes to know more they
may contact me personally and I will forward any information that I have
to them.
