Yes there is. The gall bladder is triggered by cholecystokinin (CCK), a
hormone that is produced in the duodenum, which signals the gall bladder to
contract, sending bile to the small intestine, and it also signals the
pancreas to produce certain digestive enzymes. In untreated celiac disease,
CCK production is stopped, due to gluten-induced damage to the duodenum.
