It has been brought to our attention that there were rooms available at
Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn in Maryland for the Ninth International
Symposium on Celiac Disease at a nightly rate less than the preferred
conference rate of $115.00 per night that we contracted for.

We have talked with the hotel and the following is their statement of
explanation:

"There are always a small allotment of rooms that are contractually sold
to wholesalers on a routine basis. The reservations clerk on our
national reservations line, due to an administrative error at the Hunt
Valley Inn, approved the one registrant's lesser rate. We apologize for
any confusion and/or inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward
to hosting the Ninth International Symposium on Celiac Disease - August
10-13, 2000.

Steve Hougasian, Director of Sales, Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn"

We hope this statements clarifies the rates at the Marriott for the
Symposium.
