While I'm not one for eating convenience type foods (I stick to fresh
fruits, vegetables, fish, and brown rice and potatoes), I had a real
longing for a good cracker. I found one that probably many of you already
know about, but it's new to me. They are made by Edward & Sons. The Baked
Brown Rice Snaps Toasted Onion are excellent. I ate the whole package in
almost one sitting! I noticed that the crackers they make that say
"organic" on the label gives a small warning about how they are
manufactured in a factory that produces wheat items also. The crackers
that do not have the organic label on them say Gluten-Free and do not
carry the warning. So I called their number (805/684-8500). A
representative explained that the organic crackers are produced in the US
in a factory that does make other items that contain wheat. They use the
same conveyor belt, but clean it completely in between products. The
non-organic crackers are made in a factory in Japan that only produces
rice items.
Hope this is helpful information for anyone looking for a decent cracker.
I haven't tried the Organic Vegetable yet, but the Toasted Onion was
super!
