In a nutshell yes, the drive is heading south. You might want to double
check the parameters in CMOS but if they are correct the drive will
eventually fail altogether. The manufacturer may replace the drive given
that it's only 4 months old...

ScanDisk shows a recently installed 6.5GB HD has ten (10) bad/damaged
sectors after less than 120 days of operation (less than 500 hours actual
"on" time). The drive has never exceeded 2 Gb of data. The first two "bad
sectors" showed up after 60 days of trouble-free operation. The rest seemed
to show up two-at-time every two to three weeks. My system is a "White
Box" Pentium 200 MMX with 64 MB of RAM running WIN95B. McAfee 4.0 was the
second app loaded and has been updated biweekly.
Is this drive (slowly but surely) headed for total failure?
