My personal opinium about about Disk compression is: it's possible to make a
smart used of the Disk compression.

I agree about all the problems that can't happen with this kind of thing,
but there's a way to  avoid it when applying this simple 2 rules:


   1.  Never used compression on "system files", "Cache file",
       "Temporary file" and "critical files".

   2. Used only Discompression to store some small files
      that you have in huge quantity like Text file or midi file.
      That where you save space.


This way, not only you make a good usage of Disk compression but this help
accelerate in some way because the decompression process it quicker then the
hard disk reading process. As you read less data on compressed disk, this
speed up the reading of file.
