Hi.

My PC is currently running with DMA Enabled for both my two hard disks
(Maxtor 1.7GB and Quantum 6.4GB) and my CDROM reader (Creative 48X 4833E)
and the file reads/writes are very very fast I must say.

The problem ocurred yesterday when copying the i386 directory from the WinNT
installation CD and the Service Pack 5 from another CD. In both cases I got
corrupted copies. I assumed the problem was the DMA option in Win98, so
proceeded to copy it again from WinNT and DOS, same problem ocurred... Any
ideas?

Thanks.

Cesar Mendoza

PD: Both CDs were originals, so you can discard invalid CD copies.
