This is a shot in the dark, but I figure if I can find an answer
anywhere,
it will be here :)

A friend of mine wants to update her processor to an AMD K6 450. She
currently has a P233 MMX in a "generic" motherboard. I say generic
because
the manual has absolutely no brand name in it. The only semblance of a
manufacturer is "The Best Choice, No. 1 in the world, professional main
board" in a globe-type logo. I do know that the board uses an AMI bios,
as
it does have a chapter in configuring the BIOS, but I don't know what
website to go to for a BIOS update...I am assuming I will need one as
the
450 chips were made long after she purchased this board.

She purchased the computer from a company that is no longer in business,
so
I am now trying to blindly search for an AMI BIOS update...anyone have a

clue where I could look? I tried ami.com and found no updates at all,
just
their specs, etc. Searching for AMI BIOS updates brings up thousands of

hits, obviously all brand-specific. HELP!
