Hi. I'm having a problem here. I want two installations of WIN98 in my
computer -- see on the bottom why. But this is a problem, because "(...) and
Windows likes to be installed on C: (...)". Is there a way to install two
_entirely_ separated installations of WIN98? Today I was thinking about it,
and remembered that sometime ago I heard something about hiding partitions.
Maybe I can hide one partition when I want to use one installation, and
hiding the other when using the second partition. I don't know if this is a
good idea (and, matter of fact, I don't know how to hide partitions -- I'm
assuming I can do those things from a Boot Menu or a Boot disk). Of course,
maybe it's a bad idea and I need to proceed on other steps. Any Idea?
Anybody went through this problem once?

    Thanks AGAIN;
        Sami Garzon :)

PS->

>Why two WIN98 installations?

    Because I want one installation to be a work
installation, one that'll be clear and clean
(that is, there will be only the programs used
for work (most are compilers) and general
Internet apps (browser, e-mailer...). Everything
else will be clean, and the registry will be
perfectly organized, without errors or bad keys.
The second one will be one for messing around,
installing and uninstalling programs (downloaded
or not). Games will fall on this installation too.
When playing with configurations and registry,
it will be here.
    I want it like this, because we all now the
problems install-uninstall can bring to the system.
After installing some programs from internet, your
computer will act like crazy. Once I installed
Fifa98 to my roommate, and all the sys went mad;
Explorer give me GPF, programs would not respond...
I uninstalled it, and everything was alright. Some
time later, after a Format-And-ReInstalling-OS, we
tried it again, and there were the problems again.
    Well, I don't want to give up downloading
interesting programs or installing games, like I'm
doing for almost a year. I don't want to give up
the integrity of my workspace. I thought, then,
that doing 2 separated installations would resolve
all my problems, since the second partition's
programs would
not be able to change configurations or registry
keys in the first partition.
