Could someone pleae tell me why Apitrap.DLL is causing my computer to
perform illegal operations and close programs.
The registry tells me that Apitrap.DLL is something to do with "Applnit"

Without knowing and viewing the exact screen message that you receive when
using your computer, it makes it harder to pinpoint the problem. M$ has a
knowledge base article about a incompatibility problem with IE5 and
Symantec's Clean Sweep program that installs a version of the "Apitrap.dll.
If you are using either of these programs, it is worth the read to see if it
accurately describes the problems you are experiencing.

If this info doesn't help, pls post a copy of the actual msg that you get to
the list and another list member may have seen the problem and can offer an
alternative solution. HTH. :-)
