I'm working on a 486 - all ISA system that is using an I/O controller w/
its own BIOS. Win95 does not recognize this device. It works
intermittently w/ the CDROM drive (IDE) yet appears to work fine w/ the
HD (so far). Device manager shows the yellow encircled exclamation mark
next to the IDE/ESDI controller. Have I any chance of finding a driver
for this device (no markings on the board)? Is there such an animal as
a universal driver (like we have for ATAPI devices)? Must I use an I/O
board w/ on-board BIOS (were the I/O boards w/o on-board BIOS only
available for VLB)? Finally, even if I can find another ISA I/O board,
do you there'd be Win95 drivers available?
TIA
