If you have been convicted of serious driving offenses/accidents, like
driving drunk or stoned, you ought to have great difficulty getting a
revoked license reinstated. Is it some other distorted civil liberty -
like being able to buy unlimited numbers of guns, or being able to
indulge a tobacco smoking addiction in public - that we need to honor?

In a socialist, anarchist, hedonist or whatever-ist democratic society,
it ought to be profoundly difficult to indulge self by endangering other
people. If you're a drunk or a rotten driver, take the bus or train and
spare the rest of us.
