Watch it, now! My Daddy's from Hackleburg AL. I always figured he was the
best thing to come out besides goobers. BTW--I live in Marysville, OH.,
home of HAM (Honda of America). We call Honda associates "Hondoids"
locally. A counseling friend of mine says that the drug
abuse/alcoholism/divorce rate is higher among Honda employees than any other
"statistical group" in the state. They work 'em hard for that $15/hr
starting wage.

i think things are improving in both states. there is a honda plant going in
just a few miles from my home town of talladega. it will be the highest
paying job in the area to work there.

Ken,
Things have really changed down there. Tunica is where Jesse
Jackson walked in Sugar Ditch. It was then the poorest county in the US.
They now have 10 casinos, employing 50,000 + people and Tunica County has
the highest revenue in Mississippi. Unfortunately, few of the local poor
are employed. The employment comes from Memphis. You can't go to a fast
food joint in Memphis and receive decent service. They look at you and act
as it's God's grace if they so choose to wait on you.
Tunica also is having all kinds of crime and corruption, now.
