I'm not sure why but this reminded me of the experience of a colleague of mine,
who being mortally afraid of public speaking, had to get up in front of a group
of about 300 people to present a paper on wood eating fungi and decay processes.
 Having spent a sleepless night agonizing about having to talk in front of all
of those people, he got up, took a white-knuckled grip on the podium and
announced, "Ladies and gentlement, I'm here today to talk about wood-destroying
orgasms . . ."
