Subject: Re: Sierra Leone tests a troubled region

Peter,
When I replied to the above subject, the intention was not to stir
up anything. But since you are Aggo's spokesman as you claim not to be,
you've really gone too far. My points were, and I still maintain the
fact that we need to do something for the situation of our brothers and
sisters in Sierra Leone and that we don't need negative stories of ANY
of our African countries, not just Nigeria. I quote you: "We sold each
other to foreigners for money before." Ironically, that is what you are
encouraging Aggo to do. Post those bad stories from BBC about African
countries (except Ghana, of course).

Do you think that Africa as a whole has been forgiven for fighting
and gaining their independence from the British rule? What do they do
in return? Attack us in every possible way to let us know that they
could have done it better and laugh at us that we are struggling. And
people like you take pride in reading about it, may be becuase you feel
like it's none of your business, after all you're in America. What is
Ghana doing about the situation in Sierra Leone since she is the country
with foresight? You want to judge Nigeria by the character of just a
few that you have READ about. That is rather ignorant, Mr. Perfect.

And since when did Nigeria become a bad representative of Africa?
The Giant of Africa? You should be very ashamed of yourself making such
comments. You've probably been in the western world for so long that
you are even ashamed of your own poeple! Nigeria was and still is one
of the most respected countries in Africa and in the world!! Yes, we
have our problems but no condition is permanent. We will rise again no
matter how long it takes. The United States that you are in today and
running your mouth was not built in a day. They went through rough
times too, you know.

I quote you again: "One bad apple spoils a bunch." Go ahead and
blame us about the bad things going on in West Africa. At least you do
recognize that Nigeria is the pacesetter of the "West." Go ahead and
post your articles that degrades your motherland. I hope you're being
well paid for it, and I hope you use it for something positive - like
solving the problems that you're reading about.

I am a Nigerian, a proud one too. And I will not let you or ANYONE
bad mouth my country or Africa as a whole. Keep on dwelling on you
ignorance.
