While I stand behind everything I said on the list about
GFIs,  there are some questions about what was said.

I was _not_ talking about panel GFCIs.
I was talking about receptacle GFIs.
By law, Local authorities make the final rules.

I applaud the list owners (and you) for putting up with this
discussion for so long, but am not responding to ANYTHING
further on this (off topic) subject in the future.
Get a qualified local electrician for your AC questions/problems.
To properly discuss, requires too much space.

This is a computer list.
Get products that are designed for and intended to protect
computers.  The standards are much higher.
