The culprit here seems to be a lousy installation utility of
the game or some program leftover that either wants to start
some program or references to a DLL originally present on the
floppy.
The places to look are the StartUp menu and two locations at
the registry, where all startup stuff is recorded. I use Nuts&
Bolts to keep track of these so I can't tell the exact location,
but surely somebody else on the list can.
