Based on the information supplied, you have a Vextrec motherboard:
http://www.vextrec.com
The manual for this board can be downloaded at:
http://www.vextrec.com/vtitech/manual/54ips130.pdf
The MB is only documented to support up to a Pentium166 CPU.
You might want to contact Vextec to discover if they have undocumented
settings for faster CPUs.
You will probably need to flash upgrade the BIOS to make it
compatible with the 4gig, (I know you said it was a 4 something and
I am hoping you did not mean 400+meg). If it is a 400+mg drive
you will note need to upgrade the bios, but if it is a 4gig drive I would
recommend it as it probably will not be supported without using drive
recognition software from the drive manufacturer, such as Disk Manager.
Bios upgrade page for your motherboard:
http://www.vextrec.com/vtitech/vtibiosb.htm#gmbp54ipsv0
From the numbers supplied your motherboard is the version0 and
not the version1. They have had eight Bios upgrades offered since
that board was released.
I hope that gets you started.
