Mike,

I just had my hamstrings lengthened last week and one thing you probably
should expect is to be much weaker for a few days because of the
anethesia.  For the first three days after the surgery I felt like I had
no strength to lift my body weight to a standing position and before the
surgery that was a piece of cake.  But after that I got "back to normal"
and am now able to do the sit/stand/transfer thing unassisted.  What a
difference a few days makes!  Good luck with your surgery.
