Speaking of traveling, we carrie a 12v. car refrigerator, with a 120v.
adaptor for inside the motel.

We never have to worry about ice or ice pack.

We also bring a one burner electric stove and small pot or pan, and a toaster.

This way, I bring good homemade soup, or stew, and reheat it.

In the morning, we eat our breakfast in the room.  I only have to take
the coffee the motels give to guests.
