Dear list members,

AiSquared has released version 7 of ZoomText Xtra.
ZoomText Xtra is a professional screen magnifier plus screen reader (speech
support) for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.

The most imprtant improvements of version 7 are:

- ZoomText is now a full 32-bits application;
- ZoomText runs on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4;
- ZoomText now support all color depths including 24 and 32 bits clor depth;

A 32 bits application means that ZoomText is now faster and more compatible
with other windows applications.
ZoomText Xtra 7 does not support Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA)
anymore. MSAA causes a lot of compatibility problems and Windows crashes.
It seems that all developers of screen magnifiers have now dropped support
for MSAA.

At this moment ZoomText Xtra is the ONLY professional screen magnifier that
runs on Windows 95/98 AND Windows NT 4. This means that with one program
you can access both operating systems. What is also important is that the
price level remains on $395 for level 1 (screen magnification) and $595 for
level 2 (screen magnification plus screen reader).
Most manufacturers of accessibility features ask different prices for their
Windows 9x and Windows NT programs. I hope that with the price strategy of
AiSquared to make no difference in pricing between Windows 95/98 and
Windows NT the absurd high prices for Windows NT accessibility features
will lower.
A lot of accessibility features for Windows 95/98 are not full 32 bit
applications. That is the reason they don't run Windows NT.

You can try out ZoomText Xtra 7 for free during 30 days.

magnifier news, or to download the 30 days trial visit:
