Raw peanuts is easely digested by me when i respect the change of taste
happening in my mouth that bring this "raw peanuts taste" that you are
talking about. When needed they taste wonderful, but be aware that raw
peanuts in the store are not raw they are heat treated. (to verify this ,the
skin in a naturally dried peanuts is sticking to the meat ,you can't remove
it by hand, the ones which are not ,the skin is falling appart when you rub
the peanuts between your hand ) the stored bought peanuts are creating
problem of digestion for me,
The best is freshly harvested peanuts, i used to experience a "pea like "
taste when i first started to eat them raw, but now i will not trade raw
peanuts for roasted one (they taste awfull to me now and they used to be my
treat ).
other point, peanuts are heavy on chemicals residues when grown non
organically, the storage conditions in big pile in commercial operations
create more aflatoxine production (that make lot of peoples" allergic" to
peanuts).
The "instinctive stop" in a raw peanuts is very unpleasant , don,t eat them,
then they will become undigestible (they are a combinaison of starch
protein and oil ) .
if you ever find a source of organically truely raw peanuts in shell let me
know i am looking for one , i love them.
