I've heard, rumor only but seems like a typical sneaky
advertising gimmick, that replying even to an unsubscribe
thingie, is merely responding to the advertising.
There is a way to figure out sometimes who's sending the email,
or at least what his ISP is, and sometimes a note to the
postmaster of that ISP may get results.
I'll check the archives of a differentl list and see if I can
find that refference.
There is no higher authority, no cops. That is both the blessing
and the curse of the internet.
The most common thing to do about repeated spam is to setup
filters which automatically trash email from that address. I
have no specific instructions on that process.
