Hi folks,
Harry back again with more questions for you.
The last problem my friend Dave had is now solved, and
thanks for all your assistance.
Now, another situation for ya. After he turns on the
computer, (by the way, he's using Windows XP), and he
lets the computer boot up, the computer is locking up
on him. He can't get online with it, he can't press
any key, it just locks up. Now keep in mind this is
after everything is loaded in startup and the computer
has talked. Before it freezes up it says work
offline. No matter what he presses it locks up. It
then says then, "an error report has ben made. Please
send this report to Microsoft." So, what I had him
do was reboot the computer and let it start talking so
we knew that the computer was booted up all the way,
and I told him to go to start, then down arrow to run
but we couldn't find run. Then I told him to go back
to start then type r for run, and then type msconfig
and he couldn't type the config part. So, what do I
do from here?
He's using Windows XP by the way. He called Dell and
they said if we were to install Windows 98SE on it,
(and personally I think that's what we should do),
then they wouldn't service the computer any more cause
XP wouldn't be used. They're not supporting windows
98SE any more at Dell.
Another question about Window Eyes now. Does Window
Eyes 4.2 Standard Edition work with Windows XP or not?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Harry
