As one of the lawyers who has been working on the Talking ATM issue for
many years, I recommend that people interested in advocating for talking
ATMs with their local banks make a written request to the bank. The
request should ask the bank to get back to you by a specific date as to
whether or not they plan on installing Talking ATMs and what the time
schedule is. I am developing a sample letter that I would be happy to
share with people. Please contact me off-list if you are interested, and
let me know in your email what bank you are interested in and what city and
state you are in. If you make the request to the bank orally, be sure
to get the name and position of the person you are talking with, and a date
by which the person promises to get back to you. People can contact me
off-list for further information at mailto:[log in to unmask]
