hello Phat.
answering a msg of <joi 07 octombrie 1999>, from Phat Nguyen to All:
PN> I'm from Vietnam. The price of RAM in Vietnam is increased in over =
PN> double ( ex. 30USD to 70USD), please show me if the proce in the world =
PN> is increased too, and why ?
2 weeks ago, the price went as high as $192 (all taxes included) for a 64MB
PC100 SDRAM. In the summer I bought the same stuff for only $47 from the black
market (that is, no taxes). The situation is out of cntrol.
I have heard so many stories about this that I don't know what to believe and
what not. I have heard about 3 burnt out factories (all at the same time) and 2
closed ones; Intel pushing up SDRAM prices (how???) to make its own RDRAM
technology more affordable.
I think this isn't the best time to buy RAM, and it's not gonna be a good time
until after New Year. I'll settle with my (above medium :)) 96MB RAM, but I
know people with 32MB RAM who missed the train...
