In reading your error message of:
"Device not found no OEMCD001"
Then reading your CD driver statement with "/D:MDSC000"
I believe the issue is your drivers are not using the proper configuration statement.
Understand that both the CD driver in your Config.sys and the operating
system driver in your Autoexec.bat must have the same drive designation,
this is the /D: switch. Both statements must have the same one, no matter
what it is... I always use: /D:nospin (this way I know I added it).
So... your Config.sys should have this line:
DEVICE=A:\ATACR\CR_ATAPI.SYS /D:MSCD000 /Q
(only if your CR_ATAPI.SYS driver is in the directory A:\ATACR)
Your Autoexec.bat should have this line to correspond:
A:\mscdex.exe /D:MSCD000
Note that both your CD Rom driver: CD_ATAPI.SYS in the config.sys
and your operating system driver: mscdex.exe in the autoexec.bat
are linked by the "/D:" switch of: MSCD000 linking the two drivers
to the one drive.
Remember that the "/D:" switch can have anything as long as it is the same
for both, such as: /D:CD01 or /D:01 that is not important... what is important
is that they are identical.
